Join us at Uncommon Ground to hear from Susan Katz Miller, author of "Being Both: Embracing Two Religions In One Interfaith Family."
Why are some interfaith families raising children with both religions? What impact will this have on Judaism (and other religions)? And, how are adults who grew up in interfaith families changing the religious landscape? Join this conversation on busting boundaries, with Susan Katz Miller, author of Being Both: Embracing Two Religions in One Interfaith Family. Susan is both an adult interfaith child and parent of two interfaith children, and her book is based on research on hundreds of interfaith parents and children. She is a former Newsweek reporter, former interfaith family advice columnist for the (Jewish Daily) Forward, and her work on interfaith families has been featured in The New York Times, Time, Slate, Salon, NPR's Here and Now, NBC's The Today Show, and many other media outlets. You can check out some her work in the NYTimes here.
We'll have a dessert bar, coffee & tea for you to nosh on while participating in this fascinating discussion. This event is totally free, but you must register in advance!
This event is presented in partnership with Interfaith Family Chicago.
